Editorial
Escribir el Editorial de una nueva Revista Científica es como elaborar el Prefacio de un nuevo Libro; son muchas las expectativas, los anhelos y los esfuerzos que ven –de este modo- cumplido su cometido.
Es por eso que un prefacio es –paradojicamente- lo último que se escribe.
Quienes han asumido la responsabilidad de llevar adelante este cometido, han sufrido en carne propia las dificultades que se interponen entre el investigador y la publicación.
La decidida predilección de las grandes Revistas por los autores de renombre, o por los recursos financieros conque la industria farmacéutica los respalda, han sido siempre un obstáculo casi insalvable.
La aparición de las Revistas Digitales, en especial las de Acceso Irrestricto o Abierto, parecía venir a superar ese obstáculo.
Pero no siempre lo ha logrado; muchas veces, cayeron en la misma tentación de las Revistas tradicionales.
Otras veces, en su afán de completar volúmenes, redujeron el nivel de los artículos incluídos en ellos.
A lo antedicho, se suma una dificultad más: la mayoría de las publicaciones científicas de gran alcance se imprimen en inglés.
Eso suele limitar a los autores no anglófonos en su intención de publicar, pero –peor aún- impide a quienes no manejen el idioma español acceder a excelentes trabajos no escritos originalmente en inglés.
Esta nueva Revista pretende salvar todos esos obstáculos.
Ese es el cometido de sus Editores: legar a las nuevas generaciones de investigadores y autores un medio ágil, versátil, de buen nivel científico y accesibilidad económica garantizada.

Editorial
Writing the Editorial of a new Scientific Journal is like preparing the Preface of a new Book; there are many expectations, desires and efforts that see - in this way - fulfilled their mission.
That is why a preface is - paradoxically - the last thing to be written.
Those who have assumed the responsibility of carrying out this task have suffered firsthand the difficulties that stand between the researcher and the publication.
The decided predilection of the great Journals for renowned authors, or for the financial resources with which the pharmaceutical industry supports them, has always been an almost insurmountable obstacle.
The appearance of Digital Magazines, especially those with Unrestricted or Open Access, seemed to come to overcome this obstacle.
But they have not always succeeded in that endeavour; many times, they fell into the same temptation as traditional Magazines.
Other times, in their eagerness to complete volumes, they reduced the scientific level of the articles included in them.
Added to this is one more difficulty: most scientific publications are printed in English.
This tends to limit non-English-speaking authors in their intention to publish, but - even worse - prevents those who do not speak Spanish from accessing excellent works not originally written in English.
This new Magazine aims to overcome all these obstacles.
That is the task of its Editors: to bequeath to the new generations of researchers and authors an agile, versatile medium, with a good scientific level and guaranteed economic accessibility.
