It should contain the following elements:

Submissions shall be made both in Spanish and English.
Thus, if the paper is accepted and released, the impact will be wider, reaching a broader and multifascetic spectre of readers and institutions.

RAMJ publishes Original Articles, Brief Reports, Review articles, and The Rationale and Design and Methods of New Studies.
Only articles written in English and/or Spanish will be considered for publication.
They should be organized as follows:

  • Discussion
  • Acknowledgments

  • References.
  • Manuscripts must be sent in WORD format, and –once accepted- they will be converted to PDF format.

Según el Comité Internacional de Ética de las Revistas Médicas (ICMJE), un autor se define como aquel que ha realizado contribuciones sustanciales a la concepción y desarrollo de un manuscrito.
La autoría debe basarse en todo lo siguiente:

  2. redacción de artículos o asesoramiento crítico de contenido intelectual importante; y
  3. aprobación final de la versión a publicar.

According to the International Committee on Medical Journal Ethics (ICMJE), an author is defined as one who has made substantial contributions to the conception and development of a manuscript.
Authorship should be based on all of the following:

  1. substantial contributions to conception and design, data analysis and interpretation;
  2. article drafting or critical advice for important intellectual content; and
  3. final approval of the version to be published.
  4. All other contributors should be listed as acknowledgements.
  5. All submissions are expected to comply with the above definition.

Cada autor debe declarar su contribución individual al manuscrito. Adicionalmente, la declaración de todos los autores sobre la aprobación de la versión final del manuscrito es obligatoria: debe ser veraz e incluirse en el formulario electrónico de divulgación elaborado por el Autor correspondiente.

Each author is required to declare his or her individual contribution to the manuscript.
Additionally, the statement from all authors about the approval of the final version of the manuscript is mandatory: it should be true and included in the electronic form of the disclosure prepared by the corresponding Author.

El manuscrito debe contener una declaración de conflicto de intereses de cada autor.

The manuscript should contain a conflict of interest statement from each author.
Authors should disclose all financial and personal relationships that could influence their work or declare the absence of any conflict of interest.
Author´s conflict of interest should be included under Acknowledgements section.

Asegure la coherencia de las abreviaturas en todo el artículo.
Evite usarlos en el título y en el resumen.

Abbreviations should be defined at first mention, by putting abbreviation between brackets after the full text.
Ensure consistency of abbreviations throughout the article.
Avoid using them in the title and abstract.
Abbreviations may be used in tables and figures if they are defined in the table footnotes and figure legends.

Para productos usados en experimentos o métodos (particularmente aquellos a los que se hace referencia por un nombre comercial), indique el nombre completo y la ubicación del fabricante (entre paréntesis).

For products used in experiments or methods (particularly those referred to by a trade name), give the manufacturer´s full name and location (in parentheses).

The first page of the manuscript should contain the title of the article, authors´ full names without degrees or titles, authors´ ORCID identificators (if available), authors´ institutional affiliations including city and country.
The first page should also include the full postal address, e-mail address, and telephone of the corresponding author.

El resumen no debe exceder las 250 palabras.
Debe indicar de manera concisa los hallazgos importantes sin hacer referencia al resto del documento.
El resumen debe ir seguido de una lista de 3 a 6 palabras clave.
Deben reflejar el tema central del artículo.
Las siguientes categorías de artículos se pueden proponer a la Revista de Investigación y Medicina Aplicada:

  • ARTICULOS ORIGINALES
    Los manuscritos de esta categoría describen los resultados de una investigación original realizada en el amplio campo de las ciencias de la vida y la medicina.
    El manuscrito debe presentarse en el formato de Resumen (ver antes), Palabras clave, Introducción, Material y métodos, Resultados, Discusión, Perspectivas, Agradecimientos y Referencias.
    En la sección Discusión, se deben presentar declaraciones sobre la importancia y novedad del estudio.
    Además, conviene articular las limitaciones del estudio.
    Los manuscritos no pueden exceder las 3500 palabras (excluyendo portada, resumen y referencias) y no pueden contener más de una combinación de 8 tablas y / o figuras.
    El número de referencias no debe exceder las 40.
  • INFORMES BREVES
    Los manuscritos en esta categoría pueden presentar resultados de estudios que involucren tamaños de muestra pequeños, introducir nuevas metodologías, describir hallazgos preliminares o estudios de replicación.
    El manuscrito debe seguir los mismos requisitos de formato que los manuscritos completos.
    Los informes breves deben tener hasta 2000 palabras (excluyendo la portada, el resumen y las referencias) y pueden incluir hasta 3 tablas y / o figuras.
    El número de referencias no debe exceder las 20.
  • ARTICULOS DE REVISIÓN
    Estos artículos deben describir avances recientes en áreas dentro del alcance de la Revista.
    Los artículos de revisión no pueden exceder las 5000 palabras (excluyendo la portada, el resumen y las referencias) y no pueden contener más de una combinación de 10 tablas y / o figuras.

  • EDITORIALES

The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
It should concisely state the significant findings without reference to the rest of the paper.
The abstract should be followed by a list of 3 to 6 Key words.
They should reflect the central topic of the article.
The following categories of articles can be proposed to the Research and Applied Medicine Journal:

  • ORIGINAL ARTICLES
    Manuscripts in this category describe the results of original research conducted in the broad area of life science and medicine.
    The manuscript should be presented in the format of Abstract (see before), Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Perspectives, Acknowledgments and References.
    In the Discussion section, statements regarding the importance and novelty of the study should be presented. In addition, the limitations of the study should be articulated.
    Manuscripts cannot exceed 3500 words in length (excluding title page, abstract and references) and contain no more than a combination of 8 tables and/or figures. The number of references should not exceed 40.
  • BRIEF REPORTS
    Manuscripts in this category may present results of studies involving small sample sizes, introduce new methodologies, describe preliminary findings or replication studies.
    The manuscript must follow the same format requirements as full length manuscripts.
    Brief reports should be up to 2000 words (excluding title page, abstract and references) and can include up to 3 tables and/or figures.
    The number of references should not exceed 20.
  • REVIEW ARTICLES
    These articles should describe recent advances in areas within the Journal´s scope.
    Review articles cannot exceed 5000 words length (excluding title page, abstract and references) and contain no more than a combination of 10 tables and/or figures.
    Authors are encouraged to restrict figures and tables to essential data that cannot be described in the text.
    The number of references should not exceed 60.

All manuscripts should use the 'Vancouver' (NLM) style for references.

References cited only in Figures/Tables should be listed in the end.
Reference citations in the text should be identified by Arabic numbers in square brackets.
Please provide DOI or/and PMID article identificators.
RAMJ names should be abbreviated according to Index Medicus.

All illustrations, graphs, drawings, or photographs are referred to as figures and must be placed inside the main article text file.
Figures should be numbered in sequence with Arabic numerals.
They should always be cited in text (e.g. Figure 1) in consecutive numerical order. Each figure should be selfexplanatory without reference to the text and have a concise but descriptive legend.
